SVO - Ford Mustang SVO Links

The SVO Club of America is a membership club which operates for the primary purpose of promoting the preservation and ownership of the Mustang SVO. The Ford Mustang SVO was produced by the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) group of Ford Motor Company from 1984 through 1986. They strive to promote favorable relationships with automobile enthusiasts and local communities while educating people about the Mustang SVO. Large Forum there, member discounts, Tech Tips and Facts, it's all there.

Rick Sattler has a very nice site, with information on his two 1986 Mustang SVO's. One is Jalapeno Red (color code 2R), and the other is a Dark Grey Metalic (color code 1D). Rick dedicates these pages "... to my fascination with the Ford Mustang SVO - a limited production model that was racebred and is the most refined and well balanced Mustang ever produced." The Red SVO was purchased from Art Griggs, of the Griggs racing family. Rick's page covers modifications, track time at Portland International Racerway, the history of these cars, memoribila, and more.

The SVO Mustang hasn't been updated lately, but is still a good site. The SVO story, Turbocharger Basics, Technical Specifications, Suggested Upgrades, 1984 SVO Marketing Plan, Owner Links, Suggestions for using NOS (nitrous oxide) with SVO's, and more.

Paul over at Special Vehicle Products Unlimited is the source for hard to find, reproduction, and OEM parts. Splats, Inner marker lights, headlight mounting panels, headlight adjuster plates, Marchal Foglamp covers, front bumper covers, and more are available as NOS and replacement parts made with original ford tooling. He also carries parts from Koni, Kenny Brown, Stillen, Roush, and many other aftermarket manufactors.

Jim at Motion Dynamics is a great guy, with a great shop. They are located in Leander (Austin), TX. They excel in performance modifications to all Ford powered vehicles. Their specialty is the installation and tuning of forced induction. They also install nitrous and offer in house refills. They have a Complete Line of Services Including Chassis & Suspension Upgrades, Performance Brake Upgrades, Complete Custom Engine Building, In House SuperFlow 600 Flowbench, Full Machine Shop Services, and are Forced Induction Specialists.

While not a SVO specific Site, the 20th Anniversary Mustang OFFICAL website has a lot of useful information. He deals mostly with the GT-350 Mustangs, both in 302 (5 litre) and 2.3 litre turbocharged motors. Wiring Diagrams and EEC-IV diagrams and pinouts are readily available (like how to use the LA3 instead of the costlier PE computer). Some information on the 1979 Pace Car is also available.
